How do referrals work?
Referrals are here! Invite a friend to Imagina and you both come out ahead: they get a pile of bonus credits to start with, and you earn a slice of the credits they spend playing, for as long as they keep playing.

Your invite link
Open the profile menu (top right) and pick Invite friends. That page has your personal invite link, ready to copy or share. The link is yours and it does not expire, so you can drop it anywhere: a message to a friend, your Discord, a profile bio, wherever.
Anyone who lands on Imagina through your link sees a little "so-and-so invited you" banner on the sign-up screen, and the invite sticks with them through sign-up, even if they go make a coffee and come back to finish via the email link later.
What your friend gets
When someone signs up through your link, 500 bonus credits drop into their account on top of the usual welcome credits. It is our way of giving new players a bit more room to find a world they love before thinking about credits at all.
What you get
Two things. First, a one-time 100 credit bonus the moment your friend spends from their Vault for the first time (not just signing up, and turns covered by their free daily credits do not count, so it only ever rewards friends who genuinely give Imagina a go). Then, on top of that, you earn 2% of the credits they spend from their Vault, paid straight into your balance. There is no cap and no expiry: as long as they keep playing, you keep earning a small share.
A few things worth knowing:
- It only counts credits spent from your friend's Vault (the ones they bought, were gifted, or earned). Their daily free credits never count toward your share, so it always comes out of credits that were actually paid for (it never costs your friend anything extra).
- It works exactly like creator revenue share: the credits are tallied up and paid into your balance on a daily schedule, and they show up in your credit history labelled Referral.
- Your Invite friends page keeps a running count of friends who joined and credits you have earned, so you can watch it add up.
The fine print
- A new account can only be referred once, by the first invite it arrives with.
- You cannot refer yourself, and the invite has to be claimed by a genuinely new account (it will not attach to an account that has been around for a while).
- Invites between two accounts created on the same connection do not qualify, so referring your own second account will not work.

How does creator revenue share work?
When other players spend credits on paid turns in a world you published, you earn a share of those credits. Payouts are deposited to your account balance automatically each night.
Why does the story sometimes glow or flicker?
Imagina supports a small set of inline text effects in story narrative and in authored world introductions. They're meant to make specific, atmospheric moments stand out (a magical voice, a whispered secret, reality starting to crack)...
