Creating worlds
Learn the foundations of authoring and publishing reusable worlds in Imagina RPG.
A world is the reusable definition that guides every journey started from it. It combines player-facing presentation with the structured information the storytelling engine uses during play.
Define the premise
Start with a clear description of the experience. Explain who the player can be, what makes the setting distinctive, and what kinds of situations the journey should create.
Build the world
The world editor organizes information into focused sections, including characters, lore, settings, locations, trackers, story beats, and endings. Add only the details that help the engine produce the intended experience.
Test before publishing
Play a private journey from the draft and check whether the opening, character behavior, pacing, and world rules match your intent. Return to the editor when the generated story reveals missing or ambiguous guidance.
Publish a version
Publishing makes a specific world version available to players. Later edits can be prepared in a new draft without changing the version already being played.
Review player-facing content
Check the world title, description, content rating, and presentation before publishing. These details help players decide whether the world is right for them.
